Sharesight (www.sharesight.com) is a dynamic, fintech company building an innovative, award-winning product. We enable DIY investors and the professionals who serve them to take hold of their investments and link to an ever-growing ecosystem of best-of-breed applications such as Xero.

We’re expanding rapidly in several countries and are continuously building out our core product and experimenting with new ways to acquire, convert, and engage clients. We’re looking for someone who’s a data-driven marketer and wants to use discoverable insights to shape our marketing strategy.

Reporting to the CMO, you will help define strategy and be responsible for executing a range of marketing projects in close collaboration with our marketing team. You’ll also be responsible for delivering actionable insights, reporting, and data across numerous areas of our business.

As a Software-as-a-Service (Saas) business we blend marketing, sales, product development, and client service. Every interaction that our clients have with our product and marketing sites and is an opportunity to improve. The takeaways from these projects will inform our overall strategy.

A typical day might include: diving deep into customer behaviour data to determine what features to prioritise, running an A/B test, making tweaks to our AdWords account, developing a campaign to convert clients to our paid products, and analysing customer churn data.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Analysing online analytics and customer database metrics to create actionable insights for the business using Tableau.
  • Taking action on insights by leveraging marketing platforms (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Adwords, Campaign Monitor, etc.).
  • Reporting on marketing projects, trends, and developing forecasts.
  • Helping to develop our overall marketing strategy.
  • Prioritising marketing and product projects based on objective findings.
  • Working collaboratively with the marketing team.
  • Understanding the economics of our business.

You are:

  • An inquisitive person with an analytical mind.
  • Passionate about data and marketing.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Able to formulate and prioritise projects from unstructured origins.
  • Confident to prove/disprove hypotheses and come up with your own.
  • A self-starter who doesn’t need micro-management.
  • Genuinely interested and passionate about improving customer experiences.
  • Comfortable working with C-level management and software developers.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in a data analysis or a marketing-related role.
  • Advanced in data modelling, Excel, Google Analytics, and related platforms.
  • Background in online advertising, digital marketing, SaaS, or financial services.
  • Project management abilities.
